Third party hires need to be deducted by the JIM from ‘direct employment – operations & maintenance’ to avoid a possible double count. The third party hires are also part of the supply chain jobs in the model.
Induced jobs are driven by both direct and indirect wages. The lower induced jobs (despite higher direct wages) can be explained by the drop in procurement, which in turn affected the supply chain jobs used to calculate induced impact.
